Adventures in Organizing

Oh boy. Remember that baby/office/music/guest room? Well I tackled that today and there is some light at the end of the tunnel, friends! I started by taking a wheelbarrow and a shovel to the mountain of baby clothes that were in baskets, in piles on the the guest bed, on the floor, and in other various places, and brought them all out onto my living room floor. You know how sometimes things get worse before they get better? Yeah, that happened. BUT all's well that ends well, right? Right.

So I went to town with sorting and threw all of the clothes that were too small for Anna (or would be too small by the next suitable season) into a big box. It was a little sad for me to be honest, but the kid is growing so I'm not complaining. I just have to have another girl sometime in the future I guess! Anyways, I closed up said big box of NB/0-3/3m clothes and moved it down stairs. Then I took all of the clothes that were too big and put them in a plastic under-the-bed-container that doesn't fit under-the-bed so it is an on-top-of-the-cabinet container, currently.

The rest of my time was spent organizing toys, things, books, and more things. Babies sure come with a wide array of things, wow. Round two will commence tomorrow hopefully. I put the guitars, harmonicas, and electric piano in one corner, but that will eventually have to change when Anna becomes mobile I guess. But it's working for now!

Oh! I just remembered! I gathered some keepsake items and put them in a box. My positive pregnancy test, her hospital bracelets, her first outfit, a tiny diaper, her baptismal dress and candle...even a sticky note that we were timing contractions on! It is so neat to revisit all of that! Even though she's only 3.5 months it seems like ages ago! So fun.

Stay tuned for more riveting organizing adventures! (But don't worry, I promise I will blog about other stuff too.) (Also I will try to take pictures next time!)

Here is tiny pink Anna in a favourite diaper shirt...there's no way she would fit that now! Maybe I'll take a reference picture with it tomorrow...
